Kennedy (John F.) statue is dedicated.

May 29, 1990

Artist: Isabel McIlvain. It is located on the southwest lawn of the State House, near the statue and near the site of the former home of Henry Cabot Lodge Jr., whom Kennedy defeated to be elected to the U.S. Senate in 1952. In another irony, neither Kennedy or any of his brothers ever served in Massachusetts state government.
